Tom cannot remember a time when he was not drawing or painting in some form. Working mostly within the sphere of greetings cards, he has also illustrated Children’s books and magazines and his work has appeared on soft furnishings, children’s toys, jigsaws and play mats as well as notebooks and other stationery.

Tom works from his home in West Yorkshire where he has a glorious view across the Air Valley towards the famous Ilkley moors. When not at work he likes to go walking or cycling in the Yorkshire Dales, always with his camera to capture the perfect view or an old red postbox which is the perfect setting for a Robin!

Nowadays many of his designs are created digitally, but his characters and humour work often still start with a pencil drawing, and he likes to paint or draw elements, textures and patterns which later appear in this digitally imagery. Largely remaining within the sphere of greetings cards he has worked for many greetings card publishers over the last 30 years both in studio or freelance, West Yorkshire being the home of so many including Hallmark and UK Greetings.
